LEGO Doctor Who 1-3 is the first in a series of LEGO video games based on the popular BBC series, Doctor Who. This video game includes six original storylines, two for each of the first three Doctors, portrayed by William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee. All the Doctors are available within the video game, and all of these three Doctors' companions become purchasable. Stories must be played in order. When playing in Free Play mode, once a Doctor is defeated, he will regenerate into the next variant instead of dying. The game introduces new skills such as the Sonic Screwdriver, where characters can undo locks or plugs (especially in levels where a specific object must be destroyed, where it will have a certain number of plugs that must be removed). Other skills include UNIT panels, laser guns or rays, chemical explosions, solving historical riddles, and many others.

The TARDIS

Naturally, the TARDIS is the HUB of the game. Levels can be accessed at the main console. Cutscenes can be viewed on the scanner. Meanwhile, using the main console also allows the player to take off and land the TARDIS in one of four locations; either a Skaro alleyway, a crater on Mars, a museum, or the UNIT base. On Skaro, new extras can be purchased from the citadel; on Mars, the bonus games can be played in the various caves; in the museum, minikits can be viewed, after five TARDIS models are found in a level; and at UNIT, new characters can be purchased. The design of the TARDIS may also randomly change when a person leaves and enters it.

He intends to send a train down into the city, where it will blow up, driving the Silurians back up onto the surface. Suddenly, the Doctor, Brigadier, and Benton are attacked by Silurians, and must find a way to escape through the Primeval forest. They are captured by Sea Devils and placed in suspended animation. In modern times, Jo and the Uxariean must climb down into the Silurian city, where they must find a way to free the Doctor and the others. Suddenly, the Master kills the Uxariean before leaving in the TARDIS, and the sound of a train is heard...

Playable characters: Third Doctor, Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart, Sergeant Benton, Jo Grant, Captain Mike Yates

Overview: Still trapped in the Silurian city, the Doctor and his friends must find a way to escape before the train falls through and explodes, as the noise of the Master's TARDIS wakes the Silurians and Sea Devils. When they are back up in the London underground, the Master's TARDIS lands beside them, and the villain gives the Doctor the remote control for the explosives in the train - if he presses it, he will destroy London, but if he leaves it, the Silurians will raise up and invade Earth! They are surrounded by Axons and Daemons, so they cannot get to the train in time to stop it; but then, Mike Yates arrives in a repaired Bessie! They fight the Master, before climbing into the car and racing away...

Conclusion

Bessie is driving alongside the train, and the Doctor is able to climb aboard the explosive vehicle. He attempts to deactivate the bomb, but fails; meanwhile, Bessie falls behind, and the Doctor is trapped! The Master lands his TARDIS above the hole down to the Silurian city, to watch proceedings. Then, he sees a Pterodactyl egg, that must have fallen in the TARDIS back in Primeval times, and has been kept alive by the Vortex. As he approaches the egg, the mother Pterodactyl - kept alive in the same way - swoops down from above, attacking the Master, who falls against the TARDIS controls. The TARDIS lurches forwards, covering the hole; the entire train drives through its doors! The Doctor is then able to escape, flying on the back of the Pterodactyl! He detonates the explosives, damaging the Master's TARDIS and sending it flying back in time. The Pterodactyl swoops down into the Silurian city where it is kept as a pet. Meanwhile, the Doctor and his friends return to UNIT HQ; or try to, before Bessie breaks down yet again...!

Moments later, Aggedor bursts into the hall. The Doctor and his friends must build a large pocket watch and gramaphone to hypnotise Aggedor with the Venusian lullaby. Conclusion

The Doctor and Sarah follow the Supreme Dalek into the catacombs, where the villain is soon cornered. It reveals that Arcturus was working with the Ogrons, but the Ogrons were actually working for the Daleks, planning to betray Arcturus and force him to work as well. They were digging because Peladon was once a Dalek-inhabited planet, before the Galactic Federation was formed, and at the planet's core are millions of maturing Kaled mutants. Before the Dalek can exterminate the Doctor, the robot Aggedor attacks; it was being controlled by the Dalek ships, but the Doctor's satellites have interferred with the controls. The robot is on the rampage, destroying the Supreme Dalek. The explosion was two Dalek ships colliding, and now the whole fleet has caught fire, and is burning in the sky! Alpha Centauri promises that the Galactic Federation will prevent the Kaled mutants from escaping, and the King and Queen decide to allow Arcturans to live on the opposite side of the planet. All is as it should be - for now...!

Out in space, the First, Second, and Third Doctors' TARDISes hover around the planet Earth - along with all the others - and they all look out happily, wondering just what their next adventure will be...
